Install for development
- Download and extract the ZIP. Keep the guardian-research-lab folder in a permanent local location.
- Open chrome://extensions in desktop Chrome. Enable Developer mode.
- Select Load unpacked, then choose the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
- Pin Guardian using Chrome’s Extensions menu. Open its popup and choose the offline demo or research Hub.
- For a paper trial, open Sports and select Start £1,000 paper trial. The installed reader needs an authorised supported page and capture started by you.
Unpacked loading is a development workflow for trusted code. For general public one-click installation, Chrome requires a supported distribution route such as the Chrome Web Store. Chrome’s distribution guidance ↗
Already using Guardian?
Export your records first. Update the files in your same already-loaded extension folder, then reload that same extension entry and refresh the observed page. Keep the existing folder path and extension identity. Removing or reinstalling can separate you from stored records. This developer build has no automatic updater.

The ZIP contains the reviewed runtime and bundled dependency notices. It excludes private conversations, account records, captured screenshots and project journals.

What to expect
Sports paper records and reported results are research tools. Exact-provider support is partial. Some outcomes require manual confirmation. The casino draft helper is restricted to supported empty native drafts and never submits the final wager. No independent profitable edge has been demonstrated.
Use offline demonstrations or data sources you are authorised to inspect. Operator rules may prohibit automated observation even when no wager is placed. This build is not a route around browser, employer or operator restrictions.
Original Guardian code is shared as an experimental developer build, with no open-source licence granted. Third-party OCR notices remain in the package.
